{Boo}

So we are in Alice Springs. Although are only here long enough to do some washing and head off again. It has been one heel of a trip to get this far. The Plenty Highway is 300kms of dust sand and corrugations. Worth it though. Passed through a lovely little community just out of MT Isa, Urangandi, the people there were fantastic. Made it down to the Plenty that night, camped on the side of the road. The following day we made it to another little community whose name I can't remember, and camped in what will be their information center when it is finished. The owner of a little take away said it would be fine. Was a windy windy night and because we set the tent up under the shelter on a concrete slab it wasn't pegged down properly, made one hell of a racket. Today we finished the Plenty and turned onto the Stewart Highway - speed limit 130, bikes top speed 115 for TK, 120 for me. Pulled over when we saw some bikes on the side of the road and met some people who were into their 3rd week of travel, all on cruisers, they started in Victoria, headed up the east coast to Mt Isa and across to Darwin and down this way. Not sure how much further they have to go.

TK has some more info on the days leading to Mt Isa so will let him post them later.
